While you can run Zynix.jar directly, using the launcher provides a much smoother experience:

• Automatic updates: Both the client and launcher are updated automatically, so you never have to manually download new versions.
• Built-in runtime: The launcher includes the correct Java runtime, and can update it if needed, no manual installation required.
• Seamless login: You can log in directly through the launcher for instant access to your character in-game.
• OS integration: Creates shortcuts and handles file associations for a smoother experience on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Performance & stability: The launcher optimizes runtime settings for your system automatically.

Using the launcher is strongly recommended for most users, unless you specifically want to run the .jar manually.

Zynix is currently distributed without a paid code-signing certificate.

This causes Windows, macOS, and some Linux distributions to display security warnings. These warnings do not indicate malware.

1. Download the installer (.exe)
2. Double-click the file
3. When Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”:
   • Click More info
   • Click Run anyway
4. Complete the installation

1. Open the downloaded .dmg
2. Drag Zynix into Applications
3. Right-click Zynix → Open
4. Click Open when prompted

If macOS blocks it:

• System Settings → Privacy & Security
• Click Open Anyway

Zynix does not collect:

• Hardware identifiers
• Personal information
• File system data
• Background analytics or trackers

Zynix only communicates with official servers for required functionality and automatic updates.

Zynix does not sell, share, or collect personal or hardware-related data. Network access is limited to required services and update checks.
